We are an Independent Baptist Church and our pastor is Dr. Duane King. If you are looking for a church where the Bible is taught and Christ is lifted up, you have found the right place—see you there!

In 1957, Bro. Harold Chilton and a group of believers started the Field Street Mission which was organized in May of the following year as the Piedmont Baptist Church under the leadership of the Lord. Today Piedmont Baptist Church is going forth with the vision Bro. Chilton and those few had when they stepped out by faith and organized the church. That vision is carrying out the Lord's commission of taking the gospel to a lost and hopeless world. Piedmont Baptist Church supports over fifty worldwide mission projects and has an active visitation program here with the goal of reaching sinners. Our pastor, Dr. Duane King, was saved in May of 1976. He joined the Westside Baptist Church in Mayodan, NC, where he served there faithfully as a member for many years. He was called to preach in April of 1987 and was called to be the pastor at Piedmont Baptist Church in December of 1988.
